Every year AYUDA Humanitarian organizes week-long missions to provide dental care and various service activities to communities in need around the world. Our volunteer teams of dentists, dental specialists, physicians, hygienists, dental assistants, family members and friends work together to serve global communities in need. As a private non-profit dental organization, AYUDA Humanitarian is 100 percent volunteer and donation-driven.
Our dentists, specialists, hygienists and assistants provide dental treatment to underserved children and adults.
Our family members and friends work together to serve the in-need communities we visit.
We donate our time and service, and pay for all of our own travel, lodging and other expenses.
Our goal is to improve the quality of life of each individual we serve. On our week-long humanitarian trips we visit various underserved areas around the world. Some of these have included communities in Belize, Cambodia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Jamaica, Nicaragua, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Russia, Uganda, Ukraine, and Navajo and Havasupai Native American reservations.
We give oral hygiene instruction and toothbrushes to those treated and their family members so they can take responsibility for their oral health.
Our specialists perform a variety of needed dental procedures, including cleanings, fillings, composites, root canals, and extractions.
Our volunteers do service projects for in-need communities, such as providing clothing, school supplies, hygiene kits and sports equipment for youth.
Our dental and medical professionals demonstrate and teach techniques to other dental and medical providers in the international communities we visit.
Ayuda means "help" in Spanish. That’s what AYUDA Humanitarian is all about and what we strive to do.
Since 1967 we have provided free dental care to hundreds of thousands of children and adults throughout the world.
We freely give of our time, talents and resources to improve the quality of life of each individual we serve.
We cooperate with, support and rely on other service and non-profit organizations in the U.S. and countries we visit.
In the Dominican Republic, we are partnered with the Dominican Starfish Foundation.
We volunteer our time and work alongside other dental, medical and various volunteers, and have no paid employees or administration costs.
We are a 501-c 3 non-profit organization with the purpose of giving dental care and humanitarian service to the underserved around the world.
Our board of directors is comprised of practicing and retired dentists and healthcare professionals.
AYUDA Humanitarian can't serve those in need without the generous help of our corporate and individual donors. Purchasing supplies, as well as maintaining and updating our portable equipment can be expensive. We depend on donations to cover these costs.
Since we have no administration costs, 100 percent of all donations go toward the supplies and equipment needed to treat patients. And your donations are tax deductible. If you are interested in donating to our cause, feel free to contact us for further information or click Donate to AYUDA today!
